X-CPTION is an independent gym and performance apparel brand founded in 2026.

We create modern training apparel for men and women while also working with gyms, coaches and creators on custom performance gear.

NEW BRAND. NOT NEW TO ATHLETIC APPAREL.

X-CPTION grew out of hands-on experience working with custom athletic apparel, athlete gear, gyms, teams and performance-focused products.

That experience made one thing clear. Bodybuilding, lifting and general gym culture needed an identity built specifically around that world.

WHY X-CPTION EXISTS

GYM CULTURE NEEDED ITS OWN LANE.

Combat sports, bodybuilding, strength training and fitness overlap, but the people in those spaces don't always want the same fits, products or visual identity.

X-CPTION was created specifically for gym culture. The product selection, branding and design direction all start there.

THE NAME

X-CPTION is inspired by the word exception. That's where our motto, BE THE EXCEPTION. comes from.

Where does the name X-CPTION come from? +
The name is inspired by the word exception. It represents standing outside what is expected, refusing average and choosing to train differently. That idea became our motto: Be the Exception.
What kind of apparel does X-CPTION offer? +
Our collections focus on gym and performance apparel, including training tops, shorts, pants, leggings, sports bras, hoodies, compression pieces and other athletic essentials. Our catalog will continue to expand as new products and collections are released.
Do you offer custom gym or creator apparel? +
Yes. We work with gyms, coaches, creators and fitness-focused brands to develop custom performance apparel. Submit your idea, logo or artwork through our custom gear form and we'll contact you to discuss what you're looking to create.
Do I need finished artwork for a custom project? +
No. If you already have a logo or finished artwork, you can upload it with your request. If you don't, send us your idea, references or inspiration and tell us what you have in mind. We can help develop the direction from there.
How do I start a custom gear project? +
Complete the custom gear form on our website and tell us about your project. You can upload your logo, artwork or inspiration directly with the form. Once we review your request, we'll contact you to discuss the design, apparel options and next steps.
How long does it take to receive an order? +
Production and shipping times vary by product. Many X-CPTION products are produced after an order is placed, so production time may be required before your order ships. Estimated delivery information will be provided when available.
How do I choose the right size? +
Fit can vary between products. We recommend checking the sizing information provided on the individual product page before ordering. When a product-specific size chart is available, use that chart for the most accurate fit.
Can I return or exchange an item? +
